Blurb: Necromancer Kris Chase's purpose is simple. Blindly raise the dead for the primary elite, self necro-governed group, the Center. The problem is, she couldn't care less about what the Center expects from her. Instead, she is more content with snuffing out the life-force from every vile creature she can get her hands on; the same monsters her brethren indiscriminately create… for the right price.

Until the life of someone dear to her is threatened.

With the stakes raised insurmountably, she finds herself bound by desperation to create the very darkness she always fought against being consumed by, going against everything she has ever believed in.

Kris is an outsider. She was born to make vampires, but because of her powers she is able to see and hear ghost. Their stories of their death caused by vampires gives Kris a clear conscious to kill vampires instead of making them. In this different world vampires are not made by a bite from another vampire. Only a Necromancer can make them from a dead human. There is a long waiting list of dead people wanting to be made into vampires. This service is controlled by the group Kris was born into but refused to be a apart of. Then her sister is kidnapped and she is forced to do something she thought she would never do, make a vampire. Wolf has kidnapped Kris sister Torra because he needs her to break free his lover from Kris's great grandmother's body which is stuck in hell. But he had to test her powers to see if she was the right one. Rafe the newly made vampire has learned that because Kris' powers are so special, he has special things about him other vampires don't have. Rush a member of the Necromancer group has had feeling for Kris for a long time, but knows she would never give him a chance because they are on two different sides. That is, until his skills come in handy to save her sister.
