Donna Grant is a growing author in the book world. After finishing Dangerous Highlander and Forbidden Highlander I felt like I had spent the day at an amusement park. Some things I loved, some not so much. Parts made my heart pound with the story, some caused me to make a face and raise an eyebrow. The foundation of the plot is captivating and the potential it has to entice the reader into the pages with the formulated world she has created could be endless. The HEA couples of each book were a step ahead of the rest of the characters in their development yet on the flip side the evil character wasn't given any dimension at all. Staying hid in her mountain and sending her servants out to do her dirty work, along with a head of hair that does weird and creepy things is about all it tells about her. After getting off the roller coaster, as a whole, the stories were up and down yet some of the twists and turns make me hopeful for the future of the next installment of The Dark Sword series.
My Rating - 3
